It is said that music is an escape, but for me it is where I truly found myself.
Hey there! I’m Sayali, and I’m on a mission to share the joy of playing the Ukulele with everyone I can reach. My musical journey began when I was 13, diving into the world of Hindustani classical vocals. As I completed all seven levels of training, known as Visharad, I found myself falling deeper in love with music. Fueled by a natural inclination towards the arts and a deep-seated passion for music, I embarked on a journey that would shape my life in profound ways.
In 2018, I stumbled upon the Ukulele, an instrument so small yet so full of charm and character. Its sweet, melodious sound instantly captivated me, stirring a newfound passion within my soul. I felt a connection unlike any I had experienced before, and I knew I had found something truly special. But as I started learning, I realized something was missing—there weren’t many resources out there to help beginners like me really grasp the Ukulele’s magic.
That’s when I decided to do something about it. Armed with my Ukulele and a passion for teaching, I started sharing what I knew on YouTube. Fast forward six years, and our community has grown to over 775,000 strong! It’s been incredible to see so many people from all walks of life come together to learn, play, and share their love of music.
Witnessing the impact of my tutorials and the unwavering support of my community inspired me to expand my horizons. I sought to not only excel as a Ukulele instructor but also to enhance my skills as a vocalist, performer, and musician. My journey took an exciting turn when I received a scholarship from the James Hill Ukulele Initiative Teacher Training Program in Canada, earning me a Level 3 certification as a Ukulele instructor!
The joy that music has brought into my life is truly unparalleled. With a steadfast commitment to providing top-notch musical education, I aim to share the same happiness and fulfillment I experience when playing the Ukulele with everyone!
So come on in, grab your Ukulele, and let’s make some music together!
